No Lingering Doubts.
I've never done HYROX before. Can I start at TRIB3 Lisbon?
Absolutely. You don’t need any HYROX experience to walk through our door. Start with a HYROX Foundations class; it’s specifically designed to teach you the movements safely and confidently, at your own pace. Our coaches are here to guide you from day one.
What should I bring to my first session?
Wear comfortable training kit and bring a pair of grippy trainers; good traction matters for sled work. Bring a water bottle and a towel. We’ll take care of everything else.
How early should I arrive before my first session?
Arrive at least 15 minutes before your session starts. Your coach will walk you through the studio, introduce you to the equipment, and make sure you feel completely ready before the session begins.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. All sessions must be booked in advance through the TRIB3 app. This allows us to manage capacity properly and make sure your spot is guaranteed. Download the app, register your details, and book before you arrive.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancel your session at least 2 hours in advance via the app. Last-minute cancellations will result in the session being counted as having taken place.
What plans are available for first-timers?
We offer an Intro Offer of €14.90 for your first session, valid for 15 days from purchase. After that, choose from single sessions, packs of 5 or 10, or an unlimited monthly plan. All plans include access to HYROX classes, Open Gym, and the Recovery Zone.
Is TRIB3 Lisbon right for me if I'm not very fit?
Yes. TRIB3 Lisbon is built for every body; from those taking their first steps in structured training to athletes preparing for race day. Our sessions are coached and scalable. You set the effort. We support you through it.
What is HYROX?
HYROX is a global indoor fitness race that combines 8km of running with 8 functional workout stations, alternating between a 1km run and one station, repeated eight times. The format is identical at every event worldwide, which means you can compare your results on a global leaderboard. It’s built for every body, from first-timers to elite athletes.
What are the HYROX workout stations?
The eight stations are: SkiErg (1,000m), Sled Push (50m), Sled Pull (50m), Burpee Broad Jumps (80m), Rowing (1,000m), Farmers Carry (200m), Sandbag Lunges (100m), and Wall Balls (75–100 reps). At TRIB3 Lisbon, our sessions train all of these movements.
What HYROX classes do you offer?
We offer six structured sessions: Foundations, Strength, Endurance, Conditioning, Skills, and Simulation. Each one targets a different aspect of HYROX performance. See our Workouts page for full descriptions.
Do I need to be training for a race to take HYROX classes?
Not at all. Many of our TRIB3Rs train with us purely for the fitness benefits: the functional strength, cardiovascular endurance, and community that HYROX training delivers. That said, if you do want to race, we’ll have you ready.
What are the HYROX race categories?
There are several divisions to suit every level. Open (individual, men/women) is the standard race – challenging but accessible. Pro (individual, men/women) uses heavier weights for experienced athletes. Doubles allows you to race with a partner, splitting the workload. Relay splits the race across a team of four. There is also an Adaptive category for athletes with different types of disability.
How old do I need to be to compete in HYROX?
You must be at least 16 years old to compete. Age group categories are available from 16–24 all the way to 70+, so there is always a category for you.
What is an Open Gym session?
The HYROX Open Gym is our strength-focused training space, available for independent training outside of scheduled classes. Use the sleds, ski ergs, rowers, kettlebells, and more, at your own pace, on your own programme. Included in all class packs and the unlimited plan.
Do you offer Personal Training?
Yes. We offer individual and duo personal training sessions in 45-minute blocks, available as monthly direct debit plans or five-session packs. We also offer a VO2 Max Assessment for athletes who want a precise read on their aerobic capacity. See our Services page for pricing.
Is there a minimum fitness level required?
We recommend that you participate regularly in some form of physical activity before starting HYROX training. If you are new to structured training, start with our Foundations class and build from there. Our coaches will always adapt sessions to your current level.
What does the Recovery Zone include?
The TRIB3 Lisbon Recovery Zone includes an infrared sauna, a cryotherapy and compression system, and a range of self-recovery tools like massage guns, dynamic compression, vibration therapy, and localised heat therapy. Access is included with all class packs and the unlimited monthly plan.
What are the benefits of the infrared sauna?
The infrared sauna works directly on muscle tissue, promoting deep muscular relaxation, improved circulation, and reduced tension and fatigue. It’s one of the most effective tools for helping your body recover consistently between hard sessions, and a cornerstone of any serious training routine.
What are the benefits of the cryotherapy and compression system?
The cryotherapy and compression system combines controlled cold with dynamic compression to deliver faster, deeper recovery. It reduces inflammation, stimulates blood flow, flushes out accumulated metabolites, and accelerates muscle repair. You’ll notice reduced muscle soreness, lighter legs, and a stronger foundation for your next session.
What are the other recovery tools available?
The Recovery Zone also includes massage guns, vibration therapy, dynamic compression without cold, and localised heat therapy. These can be used to reduce muscle stiffness, improve mobility, activate muscles before training, or aid recovery after intense sessions.
How should I use the Recovery Zone?
It depends on your goal. For full post-session recovery, combine cryotherapy and compression followed by massage and infrared sauna. For pre-training activation, a light massage and compression session without cold works well. On high-volume days, compression and massage help you recover without compromising adaptation. Our coaches can guide you on the right protocol for your training.
Do I need to book the Recovery Zone separately?
No. Access to the Recovery Zone is included for all TRIB3Rs. Simply arrive and use it as part of your session.
Are there any health restrictions?
Those with cardiovascular conditions, pregnancy, or severe respiratory conditions should consult a healthcare provider before using the sauna or cryotherapy. If you are unsure, speak to one of our coaches before your first session.
What should I bring for the Recovery Zone?
Comfortable kit you can move in, and a towel. That’s all you need.
